Chemistry Teacher

Job Description

Saud International School is seeking a qualified and dedicated Female Chemistry Teacher. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging chemistry lessons, developing students’ scientific understanding and analytical thinking, and contributing positively to the academic environment of the school. The position is open to experienced chemistry teachers, and the final grade assignment will be based on the school’s academic requirements.

The ideal candidate should have strong subject knowledge in chemistry, effective classroom teaching skills, and the ability to help students understand scientific concepts through clear instruction, practical application, and critical thinking. The teacher will be expected to prepare well-structured lessons, support students’ academic progress, manage laboratory activities safely, and work closely with the academic team to maintain high standards of teaching and learning.


Key Responsibilities

Prepare and deliver engaging chemistry lessons in line with the school’s curriculum and academic expectations.

Teach chemistry concepts clearly and effectively, including matter, atomic structure, chemical bonding, reactions, acids and bases, organic and inorganic chemistry, and other relevant topics according to the assigned grade level.

Plan lessons, worksheets, activities, practical work, experiments, assessments, and learning resources that support student understanding.

Conduct laboratory sessions safely and ensure that all laboratory procedures, materials, and safety measures are followed properly.

Encourage students to think critically, apply scientific reasoning, and develop strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Maintain effective classroom management and promote a respectful, focused, and positive learning environment.

Assess student performance regularly and provide constructive feedback to support improvement.

Maintain accurate records of grades, attendance, assignments, practical work, and student progress.

Use the school’s LMS and academic systems as required.

Communicate professionally with students, parents, coordinators, and school leadership when needed.

Participate in school activities, academic meetings, events, and professional development sessions.

Contribute positively to the academic culture and values of Saud International School.


Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Education, or a related field.

Teaching qualification or relevant professional certification is preferred.

Minimum 2 years of teaching experience is preferred.

Strong subject knowledge in chemistry.

Experience in teaching chemistry in an international school environment is an advantage.

Ability to explain scientific concepts clearly to students of different learning levels.

Experience in managing laboratory activities and maintaining laboratory safety standards.

Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills.

Ability to work as part of a team and follow school policies and academic procedures.
